Our John Lewis spoof picked up by the Mirror

The Daily Mirror have picked up on the John Lewis spoof that we’ve created to promote Middle Child’s alternative pantomime at Fruit, Aladdin, and reveal our big local star, the rapper Nineties Boy.

Shot and edited by Josh Moore, I worked on the storyboard and design, with help from Natalie Young on the costumes and Becky Smith to make the papier mache model of the moon.

It was also my first foray into ‘directing’ and hopefully not the last!

Alice Beaumont stars as Aladdin in the production and this trailer, with vocals by Anna Wilson, who plays the Spirit of the Ring in the production.

We shared the advert on YouTube where it’s had over 1,300 views, but also used native Facebook video to reach a much larger audience of over 10,000 views.
